We believe that in order to become our best selves and reach our dreams, we must show dedication to learning, exploring our passions, honing our skills and expanding our minds.
We believe that through collaboration we learn about each other, the world around us and gain new perspectives. We believe that when we collaborate, we overcome challenges in ways we could not alone.
We believe that healthy relationships are rooted in love and respect for ourselves. The foundation of a thriving community is healthy relationships among all stakeholders (students, teachers, staff, administration, parents and other community members). In order for us to grow, we need to protect and nourish our minds, bodies, spirits, and relationships with one another.
We believe having open minds helps us connect with and learn about the diverse population of our school. When we are open-minded we are able to hear new perspectives and combine these different ideas to create something new. Being open-minded enables us to embrace our different cultures. languages, homes, talents, struggles, and identities, learn from each other and grow. Together we have the power to create something better than the world that we have now.
We believe in the power of kindness and love. Kindness is treating someone with care, compassion, empathy, and peace. Kindness is helping someone without asking anything in return. Kindness is treating others the way you want to be treated.
We believe that all people should be treated with respect, fairness, and equity. We should never discriminate against people based on their identities. As a school, we need to create a safe and empowering community for all regardless of race, gender, ethnicity, class, sexuality, gender expression, religion, or ability. As a community, we strive to empower ourselves to fight for equity and justice both in our school community and the world.
